Basic Usage

Q1. What is DRIVE:ON RADAR?

A1. DRIVE:ON RADAR is an app that lets you share your real-time location with friends and group members. Perfect for staying connected during drives or events.

Q2. How do I create an account?

A2. After downloading the app, you can create an account by:

– Signing in with your Google account

– Registering with email and password

Q3. When is my location shared?

A3. Location is shared only when you explicitly start a session. Location sharing stops immediately when you end the session.

Friends Feature

Q4. How do I add friends?

A4. You can add friends by:

  1. Tap “Add Friend” from the “Friends” tab

  2. Scan QR code or enter friend’s ID

  3. Send friend request

Q5. Friend requests aren’t showing up

A5. Please check:

– Stable internet connection

– App updated to latest version

– Notification permissions enabled

– Restart the app

Q6. How to remove a friend

A6. Long press the friend in your friends list and select “Remove.”

Location Tracking

Q7. Location isn’t updating

A7. Please try the following:

  1. Check location permissions

– Settings → Privacy → Location Services

– Select “Always Allow” or “While Using” for DRIVE:ON RADAR

  1. Enable background refresh

– Settings → DRIVE:ON RADAR → Background App Refresh

  1. Disable Low Power Mode

– Low Power Mode reduces location update frequency

  1. Restart the app

Q8. Location accuracy is poor

A8. The following factors affect accuracy:

– GPS signal strength (lower indoors, in tunnels, between tall buildings)

– Device GPS performance

– Communication environment

– Battery saving settings

To improve accuracy:

– Use in open outdoor areas

– Enable Wi-Fi (assists with Wi-Fi positioning)

– Turn off Low Power Mode

Q9. Heavy battery drain

A9. Location tracking consumes battery. To conserve:

– Always stop sessions when finished

– Adjust background update frequency (changeable in settings)

– Use Low Power Mode (accuracy will decrease)

Group Feature

Q10. Can’t create groups

A10. Creating groups requires Premium plan or higher.

– Free plan: Can only join groups

– Premium: Can create 1 group

– Premium Plus: Can create multiple groups

Q11. How to invite to a group?

A11. From the group details screen:

  1. Tap “Invite Members”

  2. Select people from your friends list

  3. Send invitation

Q12. Want to leave a group

A12. Select “Leave Group” from the group details screen. To rejoin, you’ll need a new invitation from the group creator.

Q13. Can’t start group session

A13. Please check:

– Group creator has Premium plan or higher

– No other group sessions in progress (only 1 at a time)

– 1-on-1 session has ended

Chat Feature

Q14. Can’t send messages

A14. Please check:

– Stable internet connection

– Session has started (chat only available during sessions)

– Message is not empty

Q15. How long are messages stored?

A15. Chat messages are stored for up to 30 days. You can view history even after session ends.

Q16. Want to delete a message

A16. Message deletion feature is currently unavailable. Planned for future update.

Subscriptions

Q17. What are the plan differences?

Q18. Want to cancel subscription

A18. Cancel from the App Store:

  1. iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions

  2. Select DRIVE:ON RADAR

  3. “Cancel Subscription”

After cancellation, you can still use until current billing period ends.

Q19. Want to upgrade/downgrade plan

A19. Change from in-app Settings → Subscriptions. Changes apply from next billing cycle.

Q20. Can I get a refund?

A20. Refunds are generally not provided. However, for the following cases, please contact Apple Support:

– Accidental purchase

– Technical issues prevented use

Troubleshooting

Q21. App crashes

A21. Please try:

  1. Update app to latest version

  2. Update iOS to latest version

  3. Delete and reinstall app (data is preserved)

  4. If still not resolved, contact support

Q22. Not receiving notifications

A22. Check notification settings:

  1. iPhone Settings → Notifications → DRIVE:ON RADAR

  2. Turn on “Allow Notifications”

  3. Enable Banners, Sounds, Badges

Q23. Can’t log in

A23. Please check:

– Email address/password is correct

– Stable internet connection

– If you forgot password, use “Reset Password”

Q24. Want to delete account

A24. Go to Settings → Account Management → Delete Account.

Note: Deletion permanently removes all data and cannot be undone.

Privacy and Security

Q25. Who can see my location?

A25. Location is shared only in the following cases:

– Only friends participating in sessions you started

– Only members of group sessions you joined

No one can see your location outside of sessions.

Q26. Is my data safe?

A26. Yes. We implement the following measures:

– Encrypted communications (SSL/TLS)

– Firebase Authentication

– Database access control

– Regular security audits

Q27. Is location history stored?

A27. Location during sessions is temporarily stored but deleted within 24 hours after session ends.

Other

Q28. Supported devices?

A28. Compatible with iPhone running iOS 18.0 or later.

Q29. Works offline?

A29. Location tracking and chat require internet connection. When offline, you can only view past message history.
