Rimto – Privacy Policy

ARTJUNKIE inc. (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to respecting user privacy and protecting personal information in relation to the Android application “Rimto” (“the App”).

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how information is handled within the App.

The App does NOT collect any of the following:

The following information is stored exclusively on your device and is NEVER transmitted to our servers or the cloud:

  • Website URLs to be opened
  • Alarm sound preferences
  • Pre-notification time settings
  • Individual customization preferences
  • Completion history

All this data is completely removed when you uninstall the App.

  • Displaying alarms and pre-notifications at accurate times

The App uses the following Android permissions:

5.1 Notification Permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

  • Purpose: To display notifications at scheduled times
  • Usage: Showing alarms and pre-notifications

5.2 Alarm & Reminder Permissions (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM)

  • Purpose: To trigger alarms at exact times
  • Usage: Opening websites at specified times

5.3 Full-Screen Display Permission (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT)

  • Purpose: To display alarms even on the lock screen
  • Usage: Full-screen display in Alarm Mode

5.4 Internet Permission (INTERNET)

  • Purpose: To display websites
  • Usage: Opening URLs in WebView
  • Important: This permission is NOT used for transmitting data to external servers

5.5 Boot Completion (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED)

  • Purpose: To maintain schedules after device restart
  • Usage: Re-scheduling alarms after reboot

These permissions are used exclusively for providing the App’s core features and are NOT used for data collection or tracking.

6. About Accessed Websites

6.1 Website Display

The App displays URLs set by users in WebView (Android’s built-in browser).

6.2 Third-Party Website Privacy

  • Accessed websites have their own privacy policies and cookie policies
  • Data collection by those websites is governed by their respective policies
  • We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites

6.3 User Responsibility

Users are responsible for reviewing and understanding the privacy policies of websites they access.

7. Data Security

7.1 Local Storage Security

  • All data is stored in Android’s internal storage
  • Android’s sandbox mechanism prevents access from other apps
  • Your device’s lock screen and security settings are the first line of defense

7.2 Recommendations

To enhance device security, we recommend:

  • Setting up a screen lock (PIN, pattern, fingerprint, etc.)
  • Installing apps only from trusted sources (Google Play)
  • Keeping your OS and apps up to date

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13.

We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13. However, since the App does not collect personal information at all, it can be used regardless of age.

For Parents: We recommend appropriate supervision and use of parental controls when children use smartphones.

9. Data Retention Period

  • During App Use: User-set data is retained on the device until the user deletes it
  • Upon Uninstallation: All data is completely removed when the App is uninstalled
  • Cloud Storage: Since data is not stored in the cloud, there is no cloud retention period

Within the App, users can:

  • View, edit, and delete schedules
  • Modify settings
  • Reset all data (by uninstalling the App)

10.2 Data Deletion

You can completely delete all data by uninstalling the App.

11. International Data Transfers

The App does NOT transfer any data internationally.

Since all data is stored exclusively on your device, there is no “international data transfer” as defined by GDPR, CCPA, or other data protection regulations.

12. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

12.1 The App Itself

The App does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics tools, or similar technologies.

12.2 Accessed Websites

Websites opened in WebView may use their own cookies, governed by their respective policies.

13. Third-Party Services

The App does NOT use any third-party services, including:

  • Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
  • Advertising networks
  • Crash reporting services
  • Social media integrations
  • Push notification services (only local notifications are used)

We may update this Policy as necessary.

  • The “Last Updated” date will be updated
  • For significant changes, we will notify users via the App or website
